IONA), a world leader in high-performance integration solutions for mission-critical IT environments, today announced that Robert Napolitano has joined the company as Vice President, Corporate Development. In this role, Mr. Napolitano brings nearly 20 years of corporate development leadership in the high technology industry to IONA. As Vice President, Corporate Development, Mr. Napolitano will hold primary responsibility for expanding IONA's strategic corporate relationships.
Throughout Mr. Napolitano's career in the high technology industry, he has demonstrated an ability to build strong partner relationships with industry leading vendors such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Sun and with system integrators including Accenture, BearingPoint, CSC and EDS, among others. He has held senior corporate and business development positions with companies including Pegasystems, Engage, Nortel Networks, Compaq and Digital.

Prior to joining IONA, Mr. Napolitano served as Vice President, Strategic Alliances for Pegasystems, Inc., a provider of Business Process Management software products. While with Pegasystems, Mr. Napolitano was responsible for the development of a multi-faceted, global strategic alliance with IBM.
