5by5 achieves Integration Consortium Award for Excellence

BRIDGEWERX Established as a World Class Solution

Calgary, Canada June 2, 2005 - 5by5 Software Ventures, creators of the BRIDGEWERX Integration Appliance, announced today they received the prestigious Integration Solution Provider Award for Excellenceâ„¢ after successfully participating in the first live SOA Integration Showcase held during the Integration Consortium 2005 Global Summit.

Last week marked the second annual Global Integration Summit attracting senior executives and integration vendors from across the globe. A feature of the 2005 Summit was the unique, live SOA Integration Showcase. There were a number of interesting and real-life challenges for all participants and indeed a significant element of risk associated with building and delivering a final solution, from scratch within 27 hours. The solutions were then demonstrated, live, to the audience of representatives from the end user community and in doing so have defined a new benchmark for business integration competency and excellence.

Bob Tretiak, Chairman and CEO of 5by5 Software Ventures said "The SOA Showcase allowed us to demonstrate the power and capabilities of the BRIDGEWERX Integration Appliance and be compared to the solutions of many of the largest vendors in the integration industry. Our award clearly establishes the BRIDGEWERX product as a world class solution that more than demonstrates its value alongside other integration solutions".

While many of the participants were coding and fixing right up until the last minute, 5by5 was able to build an elegant solution in just a few hours without coding, using the BRIDGEWERX Integration Appliance. The Showcase Challenge scenario closely emulates a small to medium-sized enterprise requirement and is exactly what the BRIDGEWERX Integration Appliance was designed for: fluid requirements, tight deadlines, and simple deployment. The added bonus is that an integration solution like this from 5by5 comes complete with a price tag of less than $30,000 including the software and appliance.

Michael Kuhbock, Founder and Co-Chairman of the IC adds "It is the vision of the IC to build platforms where capability and business value can be showcased by our membership, the integration industry has to tackle the challenges of building and delivering integration solutions by being relentless in it’s pursuit of best practices through the eyes of the end user. Because of this, integration solution providers like 5by5, rose to the occasion and participated in the SOA Showcase under real world scenarios of intense pressure while taking on tremendous risk. It was a defining event those involved now stand head and shoulders above any other vendor who may be touting an integration solution in the market today. They have been acknowledged by their peers and the end user community as serious players with technology that really does work. With the BRIDGEWERX product, 5by5 successfully built a seamless business solution and solidified their place as one to watch in the integration marketplace."
