Shanghai Wind will represent MetaBit in Mainland China as its local support partner for MetaBitâs second Market Liquidity Hub (MLHTM) to FIX-enable Chinaâs financial industry and fuse Chinaâs version of the FIX protocol (âSTEPâ) with global standard FIX versions. The Shanghai MLHTM will initially serve as a liquidity switch to connect global Qualified Foreign Investors (QFIIs) with their respective Chinese brokerage firms. Chinese securities firms will have the opportunity to outsource their FIX services to the MLHTM and obtain Shanghai Windâs support and implementation services.
The Shanghai MLHTM, the first FIX hub in China, will be powered by the leading CameronFIX Engine, and MetaBitâs proprietary light-weight Order Management System, XiliXTM. MetaBit, recently appointed Cameron Systemsâ authorised reseller and support partner in China, offers direct access to the CameronFIX platform. The development of the Shanghai MLHTM will coincide with the opening of MetaBitâs Shanghai office in fall 2005.
"The partner agreement with Shanghai Wind emphasises MetaBit and Cameron Systemsâ long-term commitment to China, to provide FIX services to the financial industry. We are here for the future," says Daniel Burgin, MetaBitâs CEO. "MetaBit is proud of its alliance with Shanghai Wind, a firm widely recognised by the financial industry inside and outside China. We are confident Shanghai Wind has the business and technical expertise to provide the local FIX implementation and support services required in China."
Zhou Li, CEO of Shanghai Wind says: "Shanghai Wind is very pleased to be partnering with MetaBit to provide FIX services for China domestic and international clients to trade on all Chinese stock, futures and commodity exchanges. Wind will provide the connectivity gateway into China for the international financial community."
MetaBit Systems and Cameron Systems are co-exhibiting during the FPL FIX Shanghai Conference on 24 June 2005.
