Summit manages the Societyâs full mortgage application processing and post completion administration, together with all aspects of savings account administration. The solution provides end-to-end processing throughout the lifecycle of the mortgage, beginning with the quotation, through to application and completion stages, followed by the ongoing administration of each mortgage. The system also supports all savings accounts including the Societyâs ATM network.
The project has involved upgrading the branch support system across all 13 branches of the Society together with the Darlington Mortgage Shop based in Duke Street, Darlington.
The implementation marks the completion of the biggest IT project ever undertaken by Darlington Building Society â to replace all the Societyâs business critical systems and at the same time, manage the introduction of new mortgage regulations.
The project commenced in early 2003 and was completed in June 2005. Peter Rowley, director & chief executive of the Society commented, "The overriding objective of this project was to provide the Society with the most appropriate, efficient and effective system to facilitate the future development and growth of the organisation."
He continued, "The AttentiV technology will enable the Society to meet its business goals and the Society has started to see a number of benefits since the first phase of the implementation was completed in 2004. These include a user-friendly, high quality service for our branch staff, easier processing of customer data, improved accuracy, a greater flexibility to offer new products to our members and the agility to launch new products quickly."
Peter concluded by saying, "This has been an enormous project for Darlington Building Society and I am immensely proud of the staff who have helped to deliver a project of such complexity."
David Webber, CEO AttentiV Systems commented, "The successful conclusion of the project has been a great achievement for Darlington, replacing the Societyâs business critical systems, whilst at the same time managing the introduction of new mortgage regulations. Iâm pleased that AttentiV has played a significant part in the projectâs success and look forward to continuing our excellent relationship with the Society."
