TORONTO, CANADA - June 22, 2005 - Algorithmics Incorporated today announced that the next release of its industry-leading suite of enterprise risk management solutions, Algo Suite 4.6, will support Sun Microsystems' Solaris 10 Operating System on SPARC-based Sun systems. The combined solution provides Algorithmics clients the ability to process large volumes of data and computations within a restricted time window and without loss of accuracy. Algo Suite 4.6 is scheduled for release in 2006.

"Algorithmics is committed to providing our customers with improved business performance at a lower total cost of ownership," says Michael Zerbs, Algorithmics' President and Chief Operating Officer. "Partnerships with companies such as Sun allow Algorithmics to continue to deliver its best of breed solutions while meeting client needs for increased scalability and reliability."

"Customer demand for Solaris 10 continues," said Donna Rubin, senior director, financial services at Sun Microsystems. "We are pleased that leading partners like Algorithmics are driving down costs for its customers by making applications and offerings available to run on Solaris 10.
Solaris 10 has features built in to easily handle the massive amounts of critical data that go through the Algorithmics system. There is no other OS that should be trusted to reduce latency like Solaris 10."

Award-winning Solaris 10 has set the standard for the next-generation of operating systems with major breakthroughs in features, functionality, and performance. Solaris 10 provides a world-class operating system.
Applications can run up to 30 times faster and web server performance is more than 40 percent faster than competing systems.
