SIAâs Technology Management Conference, June 23, NYC
New York, NY, June 21, 2005 â Vanguard Managed Solutions (VanguardMS), the largest independent Managed Service Provider in the United States, today was selected by the Securities Industry Association as the trade groupâs official provider of managed network and security solutions to its member-firms. The announcement was made at SIAâs 2005 Technology Management Conference, which is being held this week at the Hilton New York in New York City. This annual technology conference is the nationâs largest exhibition for technology managers in securities firms, with nearly 300 exhibitors and 8,000 expected attendees.
Under the new program, the broad array of VanguardMS products and services â including managed network, security, and I.T. infrastructure solutions â will be available to SIA member-firms at a special discount rate. In addition, VanguardMS developed a custom co-branded client Web portal available to all SIA members that contract for VanguardMS services.
The VanguardMS portfolio of Careguard Managed Services includes: Managed Network, Managed Firewall and Unified Threat Management, Managed Server, and Managed Application services. VanguardMS is a Juniper Networks MSSP Solution Alliance provider and a Cisco CPN partner. The company has more than 20 years of experience in ensuring maximum network uptime and performance in the financial services, retail, and other markets.
"Our decision to partner with VanguardMS to benefit our members was rooted in VanguardMSâ deep experience in helping to ensure network uptime, performance, and security," notes Art Trager, SIA vice president and managing director, technology. "We look forward to providing this added value to our many members across the country, for whom a reliance on network technology is a matter of routine."
According to Josh Levine, chief operating officer of VanguardMS, value is an integral part of the relationship from his perspective as well. "We are excited to be in a position to serve the membership of SIA. For us, working closer with the securities industry is a natural branching out from our deep experience in the retail banking market," Levine said. "To be recognized as the preferred supplier by the industryâs premier trade association is an honor, and one that we hope will yield future value to VanguardMS in the form of business with SIA member-firms."
To inaugurate the new relationship with SIA, Doug Mow, vice president, marketing for VanguardMS, will co-present a special workshop at the conference, "Intelligent, Secure Connectivity for a Diverse Workforce," at 8:00 a.m. on June 23, offering advice for SIA members that want to strike a balance between cost savings and network security and performance. Other presenters include representatives from Juniper Networks and eIQnetworks, Inc.
