Dublin, Ireland, 16th June , 2005 â The Integration Consortium (IC) today announced that PolarLake, the world leader in standards-based incremental integration, achieved the Integration Solution Provider Award for Excellence⢠at the Annual IC Summit recently held in Banff Springs, Canada.
The Award acknowledged PolarLakeâs performance in the SOA Integration Solution Showcase, in which participating solution providers were required to build and deliver a real-time supply chain solution using an SOA-based business integration solution in just over 24 hours. PolarLake delivered a working solution using its Integration Suite product that succeeded in both over-coming the challenges inherent in any âreal worldâ integration project, and delivering a solution that showcased the products productivity and âcode-freeâ development process.
In order to demonstrate this productivity, PolarLake completed the project using a single consultant â confirming that integration projects can be delivered in a quick and cost-effective manner using the PolarLake Integration Suite.
"Until now, enterprise integration projects have been associated with substantial investment in professional services and the scarce skills needed to develop and maintain projects delivered with proprietary technologies" said Ronan Bradley, CEO of PolarLake. "Our success within the SOA Integration Solution Showcase has demonstrated that the PolarLake approach â providing the mediation and orchestration of complex business processes without code â can dramatically reduce costs for organizations considering small or large scale integration projects."
"At the 2005 Global Summit we really put the participants of the SOA Showcase through their paces", said Michael Kuhbock, Founder and Chairman of the Integration Consortium. "The ability to build and deliver a solution under intense pressure was quite a challenge and many vendors shied away from the risk of failure. However, we were delighted that one of those who did step up to the challenge and succeed in building in real-time a successful business integration solution was Polarlake. They achieved the Award for Excellenceâ¢, voted by the attendees of the Summit and we congratulate them on their achievement."
The IC Summit attracted over 200 international member delegates, representing many of the major buyers of integration solutions, across all industry sectors. This audience was treated to an impressive line up of speakers, who shared their experiences and best practices in terms of identifying and adopting integration solutions to fit their business needs, many with the challenge of implementing integration projects across the globe.
