ZEUS BOARD APPOINTMENT EXPANDS GLOBAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

Leading developer of application traffic management software, Zeus Technology today announces the appointment of Leslie Stretch as a non-executive board director. Leslie joins Zeus after more than nine years at Sun Microsystems (Sun), where he held posts including managing director and vice president (VP) in charge of UK operations and senior VP of Global Channel Sales.

During his time at Sun UK, Leslie was in charge of over 1,500 staff in sales, systems engineering and customer support and had overall responsibility for more than $1bn of hardware, software and services sales. In his global role he managed Channel Sales and the Client Solutions organisation within Sun. He also created new strategic units for core vertical markets, led investment decisions that won record private and public sector contracts and was integral in engineering the turnaround of Sun’s UK business.

Before Sun, Leslie held a number of roles in the enterprise software market including senior sales and management positions at Oracle. At Zeus, Leslie will provide support to the board, assist with the company’s expansion into new markets and provide guidance on the strategic direction of the business.

Commenting on Leslie’s appointment, Zeus Chairman Paul Brennan, said, "Leslie is a well respected figure in industry. He has an excellent track record in building long term alliances with customers and partners, leading complex sales operations and managing companies through phases of growth and investment. He joins Zeus at a very exciting time and his appointment reinforces the world class team we have put in place across all areas of our business. We welcome Leslie to the team and look forward to working with him."

Explaining his reasons for joining Zeus, Leslie Stretch said, "Zeus has a unique approach to application infrastructure management. Its management team has an unparalleled insight into the workings of the software industry and more importantly how developments in Internet technologies will take shape in the next three to five years. This is a private technology company set for rapid, year-on-year growth and I look forward to working with the Zeus board to champion the company’s approach and extend its reach, especially into the US."
