"The 2005 Summit promises to be another opportunity for Wombat customers to meet, share first-hand experiences, preview the pipeline of new market data distribution, ticker plant and API products and, most importantly, continue to brainstorm with us as they did last year to improve our expanding product suite," said Ron Verstappen, CEO and president at Wombat. "Our engineers, support staff and customers represent the largest pool of direct-feed experience and knowledge available today. This conference and user group setting allow us to pool this knowledge to help perpetuate the successful application of Wombat technology, while simultaneously helping Wombat to better meet the needs of its customers by providing insights of their future needs."
The conference will also address high profile issues currently facing the financial markets. Presentations, interactive discussions and brainstorming sessions are to include strategies for shortening the lead times in implementing a direct feeds-based solution, reducing the total-cost-of-ownership for buy-side and sell-side institutions and the impact of using non-RMDS infrastructures. In addition, discussions are planned on the critical role of data latency in the marketplace, the escalating requirements of high-performance algorithmic trading engines, automated market making and dealing with skyrocketing data volumes.
