CORPORATE finance specialist Peter Petyt has joined national accountancy group UHY Hacker Young to help the firm spearhead further growth in the deal arena.

Petyt has joined UHY Hacker Young from Pridie Brewster Corporate Finance Limited, where he acted latterly as Managing Director.

There he was responsible for a number of assignments requiring advice and assistance in securing equity and debt funding, pursuing acquisitions and executing business disposals.

An Oxford graduate, Petyt qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and Touche before spending 12 years in industry.

His many achievements during this period included achieving a ten-fold increase in turnover at a group of printing companies under his management, through organic growth and acquisition.

Commenting on Petyt's appointment Martin Savage, Director of Corporate Finance at UHY Hacker Young, said:

"Our level of corporate finance work has increased significantly over the past few years and we have taken the opportunity to expand our team with experienced new blood.

"Peter brings both a communications sector focus and excellent relationships within the corporate deals community that will be a great addition to our already considerable knowledge bank.

"We're excited and pleased to welcome him."
