BSI SA, one of Switzerlandâs major banks acting in private banking and asset management, has entered into an agreement with Screen Consultants for the use of INFOmatch to manage its market data. At its headquarter in Lugano, BSI will use INFOmatch to track some 400 users of market data services across the organisation. The system will be used by 4 administrators. The installation is planned to be finished by the beginning of the second quarter of this year.
So far, BSI has managed its information services cost by using Excel. According to Mr. Briganti, BSIâs market data manager, this instrument is no longer suited for a smart cost management process, taking into account the size of the user organisation and the number of financial applications in use. He adds that BSI has decided for INFOmatch because it is not only a database to store user data and contractual information, but a real open system, which seamlessly integrates data from other systems for the day-to-day activity. "The main goal with INFOmatch is to manage our contracts with vendors of market data and other financial information services; in the future we would like to integrate all ICT agreements", according to Mr. Briganti.
BSI is member of Swiss Information Provider User Group (SIPUG). Founded in 1992, the SIPUG is the principal organisation in Switzerland representing users of market data services. The SIPUG provides a platform to its members to discuss all market data issues on a technical, administrative and strategic level.
According to Mr. Briganti, BSI has chosen for Screen because of its proven knowledge and international experience in the market data field. "Screen Consultants is not just a software company, they are true market data specialists. INFOmatch's intelligence proves this", says Mr. Briganti.
Mr. Magnin, director of Screen Consultantsâ Swiss operation is delighted to welcome BSI on board. "This is another success in the Swiss market. It proves that INFOmatchâs new release is considered being the ultimate market data management system". John Lathouwers, global sales manager, adds: "We consider Switzerland being one of our strategic markets. The Swiss banking community expects the highest levels of professionalism from its partners. Our recent successes have proven that we meet these levels and that our customers feel more than comfortable with using INFOmatch. We are pleased to enter into a partnership with BSI".
