2005 Brasfield Technology Conference A Success

Birmingham, AL (February 22, 2004) Brasfield Technology’s 2005 Technology Conference held February 16-18, 2005 in Sandestin, FL has come to a successful conclusion. Community bankers from across the Southeast gathered to hear informative lectures on banking technology, to network, and to socialize.

Keynote speaker and football legend Bart Starr kicked off the conference with his motivational speech “Being the Best You Can Be.” Attendees were invited to have breakfast with Mr. Starr and each attendee received an autographed football from him.

Other speakers included Joe Lima, president of IS Audits in Macon, GA who gave two very informative presentations on internet security and preparing for an information technology exam. Joe Neely, president of Mississippi National Banker’s Bank in Ridgeland, MS spoke on the current state of community banking. Michael Tilford, vice president of Image Exchange, a Brasfield affiliate, provided bankers with an update on Check 21 and Image Exchange’s network, iXchange. Terry Ray, chief technology officer for Brasfield, informed bankers about Brasfield’s new cash management product as well as their new secure email service, BT Mail.

The conference concluded with a golf tournament and a dinner and dancing cruise aboard the luxury yacht Solaris.

Over 100 community bankers and vendors attended the conference from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee and Louisiana.

Brasfield’s next technology conference will be held in February 2006.
