Release 1.4 Provides Command Line Interface and Enhanced Platform Support

RSA Conference, San Francisco, CA, February 15, 2005- The Products Division of e-DMZ Security (Booth #301), today launched version 1.4 of the Password Auto Repositoryâ„¢ (PAR). The PAR provides individual accountability, dual control, and a strong audit trail for the changing and release of shared administrative IDs such as 'root' on UNIX and 'Administrator' on Windows.

The Password Auto Repository, today’s industry leading administrative password management solution, now includes the following functionality and support enhancements:

Command Line Interface Support
Enhanced Platform Support: Nokia IPSO
Domain Support: Integration with Windows Domains and Active Directory
Unix Security Product Support: Integrates with TFS Boksâ„¢ and Symark
PowerPassword

"The Command Line Interface functionality included in v 1.4 allows customers to easily and securely integrate PAR with their existing Systems Management tools such as Patch Management or Vulnerability Assessment, or to finally remove hard-coded passwords from scripts used to perform routine maintenance," states Jeff Zupan, VP Development for e-DMZ Security. "Combined with the enhanced platform support, the improvements seen in v 1.4 demonstrate the advantage of PAR over in-house developed systems or policies. Release 1.4 has the ability to generate, change, and check passwords on the following platforms:

HPUX, AIX, Solaris, Linux
Windows 2000 Server and Professional, Windows 2003, Windows XP Pro and Media Center
CyberGuard, Netscreen, Cisco PIX, and Nokia IPSO Firewalls
Sybase, Oracle, and MSSQL databases
Cisco Routers for the telnet and enable passwords


Secure Password Storage and Access:

Passwords stored using AES 256-bit encryption
Passwords signed in storage with an X.509v3 certificate
Password requests and approvals accessed only through HTTPS
External Authentication Support: RSA Secureid/ACE, Secure Computing Safeword
