ALBERTA SCHOOL EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PLAN IMPLEMENTS CLAIMS MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

· School Employee Benefit Authority installs FINEOS Claims Manager to improve customer service and reduce costs

Dublin/London/Portland ME, February 16 2005 - FINEOS Corporation, the leading innovator of financial services and government software, has announced that Canada's Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan (ASEBP) has deployed FINEOS Claims Manager as a front-end solution across its plan administration system.

Implemented over four months, the out-of-the-box solution provides functionality in five key areas. First, it provides users with a single view of customer and plan information, covering life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, extended disability, extended health care, dental care, in addition to vision and hearing aid care benefits. This allows users to access portfolio information quickly and easily without having to navigate through multiple back office systems. Second, all contacts made in relation to a party or case are recorded.

Third, image integration is provided so that all available contacts, tasks and images are available for service staff. Fourth, advanced Microsoft Word® integration enables the creation of ad hoc documentation, drawing from a library of templates. Finally, underpinning the solution is process automation for the intelligent creation, routing and monitoring of tasks. Critically, this helps to improve service levels, reduce hand offs and consequently improve customer service.

Eric Hemming, Manager of Regional Services, ASEBP, said: "This solution will add tremendous benefit to the business. Staff will be immediately able to retrieve data across the full range of our employee benefit plans. This will have a huge impact in two areas in particular - a) staff can spend more time on more value-add tasks, and b) the result is that customers' level of service will be improved considerably."

Leo Corcoran, Senior Vice President for Business Development for FINEOS in North America said: "The benefit of the FINEOS Claims Manager product to ASEBP is quite simple. It will help them to migrate their customer and claims management process to a more efficient, more customer-focused workflow system. This will obviously help to improve service and, ultimately, lead to reduced claims management costs."

Michael Kelly, CEO, FINEOS, said: "The FINEOS Claims Manager has matured. We have proven our ability to provide customers with feature-rich functionality for their key process-driven claims management needs. The fact that we can now do this for very large enterprises as well as having the ability to deliver an 'out of the box' solution for the smaller type organizations is testament to the maturity, leadership and solidity of the product."
