Nastel Technologies Extends Real-time Correlated Monitoring to Oracle Database

New York, 14 February, 2005 - Nastel Technologies announces the release of its AutoPilot Expert for Oracle Database, and its membership in the Oracle PartnerNetwork. Nastel's AutoPilot Expert for Oracle Database is an extensible data collector that plugs-in to AutoPilot's completely modular platform. When added to AutoPilot, it will instantly enable real-time visibility of the performance and health of business processes flowing across Oracle systems. This Expert supports the Oracle Database versions 8 and 9.

The AutoPilot Suite has long been regarded as the most powerful and feature rich solution for Message Oriented Middleware, and as the easiest way to define new custom events based on specific needs. "It only makes sense that we extend this power to include Oracle and other systems that are critical to transactional and business processes," says Nastel CEO, David Mavashev.

Peoples Bank, a Connecticut-based bank with $11 billion in assets, is testing and has plans to deploy Nastel's Expert for AutoPilot. "Quite a few of our integrated applications talk to an Oracle Database," said Viren Deshmukh, IT Director COE Open Systems for People's Bank. "Now, with the Nastel's Autopilot Expert for Oracle Database, we are correlating Oracle events with events from all of our EAI platforms and every operating system they're running on. With AutoPilot, we're monitoring IBM's WebSphere Application Server, InterChange Server, MQ and Encina. With the rules and policies in AutoPilot, we are easily correlating events across our middleware integration infrastructure, and can foresee and prevent many application performance problems before they occur."
