Lupus alpha goes into production with SimCorp Dimension

Lupus alpha, an independent German asset management group, has implemented SimCorp Dimension as its front, middle and back office solution. Behind the fast implementation was a preconfigured version of the software especially developed for mid-sized Mutual Funds ("KAG Best Practice").

Little more than six months after the start of the project, efficiency gains have become obvious due to the front-to-back usage of SimCorp Dimension. Among these gains from the integrated software include easily-definable workflows without redundant data entry tasks or the need to build new interfaces. Despite the limited implementation period the complete history of the fund prices for the last financial year (more than 4,000 different fund prices) was recalculated within SimCorp Dimension during the migration from the former system – an approach that helped to discontinue the past systems within the running business year. The advisory mandates of Lu-pus alpha will be transferred to the new solution shortly.

"SimCorp’s Best Practice approach turned out to be the ideal way for us to implement such comprehensive software", stresses Matthias Biedenkapp, partner of Lupus alpha. "Conse-quently we have been able to discontinue our previous fund accounting system within half a year's time".

Preconfigured version for mid-sized Mutual Funds

With a preconfigured version of SimCorp Dimension, SimCorp covers the specific needs of mid-sized Mutual Funds. All relevant instruments and functionalities, such as chart of accounts and calculation routines, are already preconfigured. Meanwhile, the possibility of customising SimCorp Dimension remains.
