LONDON â 09 August 2005 â DataSynapse, Inc., the fastest-growing provider of grid computing solutions for the virtual enterprise, today announced it has closed more business in the first half of 2005 than its successful 2004 fiscal year, putting the company on pace to more than double its annual revenue for the fifth consecutive year. DataSynapseâs year-to-date success has been driven by major customer wins in Europe and the US; entry into new markets including utility and media; the next-generation release of its award-winning software, GridServer® Virtual Enterprise Edition; and the expansion of its partner ecosystem and worldwide presence.
Driving the adoption of grid computing solutions by global institutions, the company added eight new client wins in the first half of 2005, four of which are from Europe, bringing its total number of enterprise customers to more than three dozen companies headquartered throughout the world. These included a major Canadian utility and a leading European media conglomerate.
In Europe, DataSynapse has achieved impressive growth figures and looks set to more than double its 2004 revenues. The firmâs European client base now includes two of the top three UK banks, two major Swiss banks, one major Dutch bank, three of the top four French capital markets trading operations, three of the top four German banks, and two of the top Italian banks.

Based on a number of key client engagements, DataSynapse also plans to establish operations in Spain and to announce its presence in Tokyo by year-end.

Partner-related sales contributed to more than one-third of the companyâs total business in the first half. DataSynapse announced strategic partnerships with Milliman USA, Summit Systems, HP, Tata Consultancy Services, Novell and Calypso Technology Inc. Further partnerships were established in EMEA including, relationships with systems integrators such as Evolution in the UK, Aneo in France, Edge4 in Germany and TTP in Italy.

The company continues to take a leadership role in helping to establish grid technology tools and standards to accelerate the deployment of grids in the enterprise.
