The Forbis Company and the SAMPO Bankas Have Started the FORPOST*Data Warehouse Implementation Project

VILNIUS, August 2005/Forbis Ltd. – the FORPOST*Data Warehouse Implementation Project was launched in the SAMPO Bankas, which is an old customer of the Forbis Company. The Sampo Bankas uses the products of the company for maintenance of all the bank operations.

The project includes installation of the FORPOST*Data Warehouse server, implementation of standard reports required by the bank of Lithuania, Central Bank of Europe and realized in the Data Warehouse server environment (among them a complex of statistical reports for Eurostat, as well as GL, profit and loss statements, liquidity reports and the like), upload of the data used by external systems, and preparation of analytical reports, specially created at the bank’s request for managerial purposes.

According to Nikolaj Mosejev, Department of Marketing and Sales of the Forbis Company, "realisation of this project will significantly increase the functionality of FORPOST*Date Warehouse after realisation of a number of new analytical reports based on the industry standards, together with standard and statistical reports, and after implementation of modern methods of data analysis employing the Business Intelligence class software tools".

"Project realisation will allow unifying information of the bank and its subsidiary companies in the common database, as well as freeing computing resources of the main data server, and preparing to the fulfilment of the Basel II New Capital Accord requirements", – stated Giedrius Trukshinas, Director of the IT Department of the SAMPO Bankas.
