Advances combines Conversant Dataâs claims fraud detection and prevention expertise with CSCâs Fraud Evaluator, a comprehensive software tool used for early detection of potential claims fraud, to deliver in-depth analysis and scoring of claims data.
MMA was the first UK insurer to use Advances since its launch in September 2004. By identifying suspicious claims with the service, MMA has seen an increase in the number of claims declined because they are fraudulent and reduced fraud investigation costs.
"Advances is an integral part of MMAâs anti-fraud strategy," said Bob Still, MMAâs Customer Services Director. "In just six months, Advances is delivering real business benefits in motor claims fraud reduction. Extending the use of Advances to analyse our household claims data, is the next logical step and weâre confident that we will see the same return on investment."
"We are delighted that this service is already providing MMA with significant business results," said John Maitz, vice president and head of CSCâs General Insurance division for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. "Advances is real proof that insurers can combat fraud in a cost-effective and timely manner. We look forward to applying our extensive experience to help MMA achieve similar results for its household claims business."
