6th April, London, UK â In line with the introduction of the new basic advice regime for the sale of stakeholder products being implemented by the FSA today, financial services organisation Foresters has today gone live with a new point of sale system from global IT services provider, CGI (TSX: GIB.SV.A, NYSE: GIB). The Microsoft .NET based solution delivers a rich and professional sales tool designed to make the process more streamlined, contributing to an anticipated rise in business for Foresters of over 35%.
The new system enables Forester Life advisers to educate clients about their stakeholder product options and assess their eligibility in a compliant, customer friendly manner. The interview process utilises the latest FSA regulations to simplify and streamline the sales process, significantly reducing the execution time, while the embedded rules assist the advisers, ensuring that consistently clear and accurate advice is provided.

As well as streamlining the stakeholder sales process for savings and investment products, the system, which was implemented in under five months, has been integrated with Forester Lifeâs insurance products, such as life, critical illness and income protection, whilst also taking account of the FSAâs recent regulation for selling insurance products. This increases the opportunities for up and cross selling as well as providing a full view of each customer. Because the system runs on Microsoft's .NET platform, it is flexible enough to accommodate any additional services Foresters may want to implement, for example, taking advantage of further sales channel opportunities such as the Internet.
