Launch of Monarch V8 at the Institute of Directors voted a success!

The launch of Monarch Version 8 took place at the Institute of Directors on Friday 22nd April. Monarch V8 is the result of 14 years development by Datawatch, which provides the business as usual approach to Compliance Imperatives.

Attended by users, resellers and members of the press, the event very much focused on the bigger picture of compliance. Monarch is the cost effective way of dealing with compliance issues relating to data access, control and management quickly and easily with no additional resource needed from an organisation’s IT department. Using Monarch to extract and manipulate data in a timely manner can be a critical tool in meeting compliance deadlines. It sits in front of an enterprise’s present system, thus resulting in an extended return on investment and provides a business as usual alternative to rolling out an expensive new system.

Speakers included John Kitchen III, Senior V.P. Desktop & Server Solutions Datawatch Corporation who explained the business need for this powerful new version of the world’s best known Report Mining and Data analysis software.

Gareth Horton, Product Manager Datawatch Corporation and one of the senior development team at Datawatch introduced Monarch Version 8 technology and the many advantages for organisations in adopting this innovative software.

Rob Graham, Product Manager, Datawatch Europe opened the event and explained how the latest version very much responded to the customer wish list. He also described how the product range offered a real 'third way' approach to compliance issues. He stated, "What organisations need is not more expensive technology but solutions, Monarch Version 8 delivers that need and helps in the relief of business pain".

Martin Weir of Datawatch International illustrated the advantages of the enterprise version of the product which offered a business management tool to sit in front of an organisation’s existing software.

Monarch V8 now boasts the ability to data mine from PDFs. This is a unique development from Datawatch, making the new version superbly user friendly for financial organisations, or indeed any enterprise which received information in PDF format, who need to interact with such information. In the case of the finance industry, this can be invoices, mortgage quotations, insurance information, land search, etc. (Monarch V8 Professional mines data from PDFs created from almost any PDF producer, not just Acrobat (Acrobat software is not required).
