Successful implementation of VPD Risk & Performance, Front-to-Back edition. The Swedish Asset Manager Kammarkollegiet has gone live with VPD Risk & Performance.

The Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency, "Kammarkollegiet"
manages assets in foundations and trusts for clients linked to the state or the
Church of Sweden. The role of the agency in asset administration is to provide an in-house alternative for the state sector in the broad sense.

In the year 2004 Kammarkollegiet decided to upgrade current systems for
portfolio and funds administration. After a thorough procurement VPD Risk &
Performance, Front-to-Back edition was chosen. The implementation project
started in September 2004 and included complete front-to-back functionality.

VPD Back Office and VPD Front Office went live early in December, followed by
VPD Market Data Centre later in the same month. Currently the modules VPD
Compliance and VPD Attribution are being implemented leading to a complete
front-to-back implementation of VPD Risk & Performance. As Per Wiklund, head of
risk & performance at Kammarkollegiet, comments: "The new system does not
only cover administrative tasks as required, but it also gives a full Straightthrough processing of trades from Front-to-Back, and for mid-office, highly specialised functions for compliance and attribution.

"This is really a very important client installation for us", says Johan Lundman, Head of Business Development at VPD, "as this is the first complete Front-to-Back installation of our flagship product. Most clients use only one or two best of breed products in VPD Risk & Performance. We now expect more clients to be interested in not only front and mid office modules, but also the VPD Back Office system, providing complete back office functions for administrating discretionary portfolios, mutual funds and fund share owners."
