BOSTON--April 19, 2005--Macgregor(R), a leading provider of execution process technology for the global financial community, announced today that they accepted the challenge the Global Fixed Income Institute (GFII) issued to fixed income portfolio construction technology providers. In response to the GFII's request for proposal (RFP), Macgregor was able to demonstrate the Macgregor XIP Order Management Network's(TM) (OMN(TM)) ability to automate the construction of several advanced fixed income portfolios. Macgregor demonstrated their solution's fixed income capabilities at the GFII's Technology & Investment Roundtable in London on March 16th.
Stephen Glover, Director of the GFII commented, "We provided Macgregor with all relevant data on two complex portfolios of fixed income securities as well as the full Lehman Global Aggregate Index and invited them to demonstrate their system's ability to resolve a series of challenging portfolio construction scenarios. Macgregor accepted the challenge and succeeded in addressing the portfolio technology needs our Membership declared in advance to be of greatest interest."
Scott Sykowski, Macgregor's Fixed Income Senior Product Marketing Manager commented, "The GFII Technology & Investment Roundtable was the most focused and relevant presentation opportunity we have encountered. The scenarios in the RFP were a great test of a system's ability to support large data sets and to analyze the dimensions of risk and reward that are relevant to global managers. We saw this as an opportunity to differentiate our solution and showcase the many advances we have made to the fixed income area of our product offering. We're looking forward to next year's challenge."
