Naperville, IL, April 11, 2005: INSTEC, a leading provider of rating and policy administration software for the insurance industry and experts in integrated solution delivery, today announced that Morstan General Agency, Inc., based in Lake Success, NY, has selected INSTECâs Commercial Package Policy (CPP) QuickSolver for their rating and policy administration needs.
Morstan represents more than eight P&C carriers and will use the INSTEC software to rate and issue polices for all their Commercial Lines programs.
The INSTEC QuickSolver software will work within a Morstan web portal that will be accessed by employees located in five remote offices as well as producers located throughout the United States. The Morstan portal also includes state-of-the-art Work in Process and Systems Management capability and functions as a middleware / message broker that will link the key Morstan systems together. The web portal was developed by Morstan and will interact with the QuickSolver software using web services.
According to Al Eskanazy, Principal and Co-CEO of Morstan, "We had searched long and hard to find a visionary partner for our SEMCI web portal interface; developed in conjunction with Single Entry Systems, Inc. The primary criteria demanded that whomever we chose had to be free from the vast burdens of legacy systems, had to have a vision of cutting edge technology and have a commitment toward implementing upgrades as opportunities arise. This would require a firm to have a management and professional team dedicated to strong client relationships. INSTEC excelled in all of our primary requirements when compared to others in the market place".
Pat Walsh, Vice President of INSTEC, added, "INSTEC is proud to have been chosen by Morstan for this innovative approach to policy administration. Both of our companies share a strong commitment to technology as an enabler and this new partnership will yield a unique approach to the agency/broker relationship. As a best of breed vendor, INSTEC is well positioned to provide Morstan with rating and policy administration capabilities as well as compliance services in an effort to secure their competitive advantage for many years to come."
