The Boston Group will also develop at least 250 hours of multi-media e-Learning content to be delivered through IntraLearn. "The Boston Group is delighted to be a part of this very bold and pioneering initiative undertaken by Bank Mandiri," said Kashif Rana, vice president of The Boston Group. "The blended learning approach being adopted will positively impact employee skills and competencies."
Bank Mandiri is a product of the merger of four state-owned banks that took place in October 1998, in the aftermath of the financial crisis of 1997-1998. After a $23 million dollar investment in new technology, Bank Mandiri has combined nine different technology platforms into one, creating a unified interface for customers and increasing back-office efficiency. The e-Learning and training infrastructure is the next step in its three-year, $200 million dollar program to upgrade its technology platforms.
The bank intends to have two co-located installations hosted for them with fail-over and load balancing. "The IntraLearn XEâs scalability and multi-language capabilities combined with The Boston Groupâs local hosting and system integration capabilities made it a perfect fit for Bank Mandiriâs goals," said Peter Banhazl, IntraLearn Software Corporationâs executive vice president.
