EAI Industry Consortium Evolves into Integration Consortium

London, May 24, 2004 - The EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) Industry Consortium today announced from its Global EAI Summit in Banff, Canada that it has changed its name to the Integration Consortium (IC). The new brand reflects feedback from the members who have witnessed the significant growth and diversification of the IC membership over the last two years and feel that the real issue, integration, is a much broader industry challenge than the original name indicated.

Since its inception in 2001, the Consortium has experienced steady growth in membership from end-users, individuals, technology vendors, system integrators and students across a number of industry sectors including financial services, retail, healthcare, insurance, government, education, manufacturing, and telecommunications. Given the diversity and global reach of its membership, the Integration Consortium has also streamlined and appointed a management team to support members and continues to build an environment where industry leaders can discuss, review and adopt best practices that will help them solve the many challenges faced when integrating business needs with practical, efficient and effective IT solutions.

Michael Kuhbock, Founder and Co-Chairman of the Integration Consortium, states, "Integration is constantly evolving, and we must continually innovate and grow in order to address the needs of our members and help them find solutions. While our name has changed, our purpose and commitment remain the same: We act as an outlet that encourages end-users and industry innovators to come together and discuss the problems and solutions of all those involved in integrating business and IT. As we continue to work together to educate and evolve best practices, there is no doubt these best of breed solutions will become the industry standards of tomorrow." Michael continues, "We look forward to continuing growth as we maintain a focus on demonstrating value and excellence for our members, working towards universal seamless integration."
