Denis Austin, Head of Treasury Operations at Barclays Gibraltar said, "We have had a long association with dbs Financial Systems and in selecting dbsDealManager, we considered both the suitability of the package and the reputation of the supplier. dbsDealManager interfaces with the accounting system installed in Gibraltar and fits the requirements of the business there. It is a known and proven product installed in other offices with similar businesses. There is considerable experience of the product and of dbs within the Bank. dbsDealManager has proved to be a cost justified solution for a LAN-based Dealing environment in both Front Office and Back Office."

Daryl Walmsley, Managing Director of dbs, added, "Our DM3 multi-user treasury system is designed to support all areas of a typical small to medium-sized foreign exchange and money market dealing operation in one integrated and comprehensive front and back office solution. We are pleased to continue our association with Barclays Bank and believe their decision to implement DM3 in Gibraltar underlines our capability to work closely with our customers to deliver cost-effective solutions that are ideally suited to their requirements."

In addition to dbsDealManager, dbs have recently launched a solution for operational risk management. dbsAccord provides organisations with a practical and flexible solution that meets the operational risk requirements of the Basel II Accord whilst encouraging the involvement of staff at all levels in understanding and managing operational risk effectively.
