ktsMarketTerminal is the international version of ktsQuoteTerminal, KTSâs existing UK financial news and data service. It has been under development for two years and has been in extensive user trials since December 2003. One of the organisations trialling ktsMarketTerminal has already subscribed to a number of terminals before todayâs launch.
The ktsMarketTerminal product is more comprehensive than many other international services already on the market and offers in-depth financial information, news, analytics and real-time prices from a number of international exchanges. At launch, it will include The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), NASDAQ, American Stock Exchange (Amex), London Stock Exchange, London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE), Euronext, Deutsche Bourse, Irish Stock Exchange and Xetra. KTS intends to continue expanding the number of exchanges which ktsMarketTerminal covers after its launch.
The launch of ktsMarketTerminal opens up a significant new market to KTS. The new service is targeted at large global financial institutions which need to access wide-ranging and high-quality international financial data. KTS is ideally positioned to deliver ktsMarketTerminal following an agreement earlier this year with Radianz, the leading provider of market communications infrastructure for the global financial services industry. The partnership allows KTS to deliver its services to over 10,000 financial services sites worldwide that are connected to the Radianz network.
ktsMarketTerminal is based on the same technology as the ktsQuoteTerminal service which has proved very successful and currently has 90 corporate clients, including Charles Stanley and Company Limited, Singer & Friedlander Investment Management Ltd., Dryden Wealth Management and Williams de Broe to name but a few.
KTSâs unique ASP technology platform means ktsMarketTerminal and ktsQuoteTerminal can be accessed from any location using a standard internet connection. This removes the need for users to install additional hardware or software in their offices and means that all upgrades are received automatically.
Dr Marc Pinter-Krainer, Chief Executive of KTS, said:
"MarketTerminal combines comprehensive information coverage of market data, news and analytics with the benefits of our proven zero-footprint ASP technology. For the first time, users can fulfil their international market data service requirements without the need for any product installation whilst benefiting from the increased reliability, security, performance and cost-effectiveness MarketTerminal offers. Weâre delighted to be launching MarketTerminal today at Dealing with Technology."
