Finjan is first to market with Executable File Behaviour Blocking and Profiler in its latest enhancements of Vital Security™ for Web and Vital Security™ for E-Mail

Bracknell, Berkshire – 30 June, 2004: Finjan Software, the leading provider of proactive secure content management solutions for global companies, today announced the release of new enterprise critical features for Vital SecurityTM for Web and Vital SecurityTM for E-Mail products.

These gateway solutions are first to market with features that include: instant messaging management; behaviour blocking and profiling of executable files; advanced anti-spam “learning” capabilities; FTP upload scanning for viruses; advanced email quarantine options; logging and reporting based on multiple terabytes of data; and integration of additional third party products.

This unparalleled list of features continues Finjan’s strategy of providing best-of-breed content security products integrated onto a single security platform with its own patented proactive behaviour inspection engine to provide day-zero defence against new Internet attacks and tactics.

“Behaviour blocking is a ‘must-have’ piece of Internet security for all enterprises,” said Shlomo Touboul, founder and CEO of Finjan Software. “Finjan is taking behaviour blocking to the next level, with new enhancements to its products, such as the scanning and profiling of executables, which is testimony to Finjan’s leading position in the industry developing proactive strategies and solutions that stay one step ahead of new hacker tactics and Internet attacks.

“The executable file scanning and profiling capability along with terabytes of data storage for reporting is unlike any other content security solution offering in the marketplace today. They empower IT administrators with the visibility necessary to control and manage all content traveling through their network,” he confirms.

“Add to this our growing list of integrated security solutions from Sophos, McAfee, Mailshell, Secure Computing and SurfControl to provide customers with a layered defence and the flexibility to choose a preferred vendor - while being able to manage all solutions from one management console – and the result is that no other vendor offers this level of selection and features to their customers.”
