MeetingZone Presenter Playback records both the audio and the visual components of a presentation in real time. Once stored, the recording can be accessed as a synchronized audio and data stream over the Internet. Playback can also be used to pre-record presentations as sales or reference tools.
Recordings can be created and viewed with a standard Internet browser, requiring no additional software to be downloaded. An integrated statistics package enables detailed usage monitoring, including the number of times recordings are accessed and which slides are being viewed.
Tim Duffy, CEO of MeetingZone, commented: "Playback enables you to keep records of any web-based presentations run by your organisation and make them available to relevant audiences over the Internet. This could be anything from your quarterly Investor Relations conference call to a product seminar."
Duffy sees another important application in knowledge management: "Many companies are only beginning to realise the need to organise, manage and use the information and knowledge held within their organisations more productively. Playback can support this process in a very straightforward and cost-effective way. For instance, you can have Playback presentations about internal processes, create user guides and even introduce new recruits to your organisation's technologies."
MeetingZone offers different levels of access security for recordings - or "playbacks" - ranging from public availability to event-specific username and password protection.
Playbacks are usually presented using the company's own templates to reinforce the organisation's branding and corporate identity. They can be made available for a specific period of time or indefinitely, depending on information needs. Detailed billing and account information can be accessed in real time via the MeetingZone.com portal.
