InterSystems Creates Partner Programme to Maximise Benefits for Ensemble Customers

9 February 2004 - Following the successful launch of Ensemble, its comprehensive application integration and development platform, InterSystems has announced that it is partnering with leading professional service organisations to help maximise the rapid realisation of benefits for end users of the new solution.

To create and support a close working relationship with Ensemble partners worldwide, InterSystems has created the Ensemble Implementation Partner Programme. Membership of the programme brings a broad range of benefits to Ensemble implementation partners, including enhanced technical support, access to the full range of scheduled Ensemble training courses at a 40% discount and the opportunity to receive a 20-user Ensemble development licence.

According to Trevor Matz, InterSystems Managing Director of Enterprise Application Integration: "InterSystems has always focused on creating innovative world-class software while not competing with partners who build comprehensive solutions with our technology. Continuing this twenty-five year partnership-centric business model, our approach is to leverage the implementation expertise of services specialists and focus our implementation involvement on project architecture and on fulfilling our total commitment to the overall success of every Ensemble project."

InterSystems is forging relationships with systems integrators at all levels, as well as global tier one partners, and vertical market solution providers. It is also encouraging smaller 'boutique' integrators to sign up for Ensemble as the new solution provides them with the ability to level their intimate customer relationships and business practice knowledge to compete with the largest of competitors.

Most significantly, timescales for integration projects are drastically reduced by using Ensemble, something that will defray the risk and cash flow problems that have in the past precluded the smaller players from the wider enterprise integration market. In addition, Ensemble implementation partners both large and small will gain a competitive advantage by having an integration platform that enables them to complete even the most complex integration projects more quickly and therefore to be more competitive in their bids. These partners are now looking forward to helping deliver the rich functionality of the new solution to their customers.

Jim Brennan, business development manager at privately-owned Irish-based IT company, Grapevine Solutions Ltd says: "we believe that Ensemble has the potential to bring benefits to our complete mix of clients, from semi-state enterprises to financial organisations and from telecom providers to healthcare institutions.

"In fact, the system would benefit any multi-structured application or technology-based enterprise that is experiencing change and needs to access different departmental systems seamlessly across the entire enterprise.

"We see Ensemble as a major facilitator of change management. It enables companies to retain their investment in legacy systems while building-in support and flexibility to facilitate future technology development," continues Brennan. "Combining rapid application development with an extensive adapters' library, it provides comprehensive enterprise application integration."

George James, managing director of UK-based IT software solutions provider, George James Software, (GJS), says: "Ensemble combines InterSystems' traditional strength of high-quality performance with comprehensive business process modelling functionality and a full-strength scripting capability."

"Managing integration is a key function of any large business, no matter what market they are involved in," he adds. "We see the potential for our clients across all sectors - from retail to financial services to healthcare - to benefit from using Ensemble. In our view, this new solution will make a major impact across the entire EAI marketplace."

Ian Sanders, managing director of bespoke developments at Wealth Management Software (WMS), one of the UK's most prominent financial software developers, says: "We are seeing a growing demand from our clients for solutions which offer full integration of applications across the enterprise. With the launch of Ensemble, InterSystems provides a comprehensive platform that has the power to integrate even the most complex data and applications across an organisation.

"We look forward to working with InterSystems to deliver the solution's significant benefits across the whole spectrum of our customer base, from financial services to the health sector," he continues.

InterSystems Ensemble was launched globally last month at the Gartner Symposium, Cannes, France where InterSystems was a Global Partner sponsor. It is the only integration platform to incorporate the functionality of an integration server, application server, high performance object database and a unified development and management environment in a single, architecturally consistent product. Ensemble takes application integration to the next level by enabling organisations to rapidly implement new business solutions that enhance the value of existing applications, orchestrate new business processes and integrate data across the enterprise.
