Setting new standards in capturing, cleaning, maintaining and enhancing customer address information, the delivery power behind this innovative solution comes from two new search engines, twinned to deliver faster and more successful access to even more information.
In addition, the use of single integration technology provides a simple and straightforward method of adding information to customer address records. With over 70 datasets to choose from, organisations can create tailored solutions to suit their unique customer care and marketing strategies.
Business names and classification data, electoral roll data, lifestyle profiling, geographical data, local and central government information, together with address data for countries representing more than two thirds of the Worldâs developed economies, are amongst the datasets available. QAS plans to add ten further datasets over the course of 2004.
Commenting on the launch of the QuickAddress DataWorld suite, Simon Worth, CEO of QAS, said: "To date organisations have primarily set their sights on achieving the highest levels of quality in name and address accuracy and this has delivered significant business benefits. The launch of QuickAddress DataWorld goes further.
"Not only does it set new standards in capturing, cleaning and maintaining customer address records but it also allows organisations to enrich those records. A single gateway empowers organisations to unlock and unleash the potential of their customer address data. QuickAddress can now breathe life into this previously static data and transforms it into an even more valuable marketing resource.
"QuickAddress DataWorld is now the definitive tool for both address data accuracy and customer data enhancement. The standards it will set are ambitious but then so too are the high standards of companies seeking to exploit the potential of their customer data in pursuit of optimal customer service and targeted marketing."
The groundbreaking combination of two cutting-edge search engines delivers the most flexible, intelligent and fastest searching available. A "Single Line" search engine exploits edit distances, allowing it to employ sophisticated and intelligent (fuzzy) matching to handle common errors made at address entry. A "Typedown" engine works backwards through an address, and can rapidly find a complete address when a postcode is unknown.
QuickAddress DataWorld presents a simple and consistent approach to accessing the wealth of dataset information available. A single, once only integration is all that is needed for any number of datasets to be plugged in. Through taking the single integration approach, the addition of further datasets will not affect the speed of searching.
Amongst the other new functionality included in QuickAddress DataWorld, is the addition of a comprehensive barcoding facility that enables users to take advantage of the Mailsort postage discounts available from the Royal Mail for barcoded mail.
Batch products in the suite are now Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) compliant. They also incorporate enhanced reporting with clear graphical representation of the condition of data, including detailed information on the specific problems found in data prior to cleaning. Batch products also include a multi-threading API which enables accepting and cleaning requests from more than one source simultaneously, increasingly important in web environments.
QuickAddress DataWorld delivers a sophisticated solution for the capture of accurate name and address data by B2B marketeers. Through the creation of a single file which seamlessly merges data from both Dun & Bradstreetâs UK Marketing File and the Royal Mailâs Postcode Address File (PAF), a single search is all that is needed to return results from both sources. Only addresses that can be matched to PAF will be generated.
For the first time, details of over 60,000 business trading aliases are included, ensuring that a full and accurate address can be found from any of a companyâs trading aliases.
The capture of the names of individuals benefits from an additional 1 million names from the UK Enhanced Electoral Register. These have been added by creating an accurate PAF approved address for individuals whose address was not found to be an exact PAF match. This represents an increase of more than 2.5 % over previous QuickAddress solutions.
In addition, a greater variety of name variations is supported with the addition of name aliases and forename reversal. For example, James Smith would also be matched against Jim Smith, J Smith, Andrew James Smith, and so on.
Amongst the datasets available to add address related information, are lifestyle data including geodemographic profiling data from both ACORN and MOSAIC and other marketing information such as TV regions. Geographical information essential for customer mapping, is available from Ordnance Survey data. For organisations in health care, detailed patient administration codes are available, as are meter points for those in the utilities supply market. A wide range of Parliamentary and local authority information is available too.
The additional data can either be generated at the time an address is captured or later as part of a batch run process.
QuickAddress DataWorld will be integrated with leading applications from Siebel Systems, Inc., Oracle Corporation, PeopleSoft and Microsoft.
