The platform, based upon Reuters Knowledge For Investment Management, is part of a three-year deal that provides MTI access to its internal content coupled with investment information in a manner that reflects MTIâs investment research process.
The Reuters Knowledge solution is to be used by MTIâs investment advisors and analysts in London and will enable them to access information that accommodates their workflow, thereby improving the overall effectiveness of MTI's investment research process. It will provide MTI with access to proprietary firm research and fundamental data in addition to external research, Reuters Estimates, Reuters Fundamentals and Reuters News and Pricing.
David Pike, Head of International Research at MTI Investment Advisory Division, comments: âWe were keen to develop an internet based platform that would become the central resource for our fund advisors and analysts. We saw this as the primary delivery and repository system for our in-house research, which would combine external research and information with our in-house views. Reuters was the only company that was able to provide a solution tailored to meet our specific requirements.â
Edward Harding, VP, Investment Management at Reuters, comments: âThe MTI mandate is another important win for us and further demonstrates how leading buy-side firms continue to entrust Reuters with their proprietary content. Reuters has a proven track record in providing similar services for other leading firms such as Aegon, Morley, MeesPierson, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership and, Schroders Investment Management to name but a few.â
