RAZOR, IT&eâs award-winning risk management software product, has expanded
operating system support to include Linux. IT&e will continue to support
Windows, but has introduced Linux support in response to the increased adoption
of Linux by large financial institutions for mission-critical applications.
RAZORâs distributed computing architecture has already established the product as the fastest commercially available risk management application. IT&eâs internal testing of the Linux version has yielded further performance improvements, reinforcing RAZORâs real-time credit and market risk management capability.
"As well as offering increased operating system choice for our customers, we
have been able to take advantage of some features of the Linux operating system
to improve RAZORâs performance even further" explains Malcolm Warne, IT&eâs
head of product sales. "We are currently conducting an extensive set of
performance tests of the Linux version with IBM on a specially constructed
benchmarking environment. We will be publishing results of the IBM Linux
benchmarking at the beginning of May."
