JPMORGAN TREASURY SERVICES INTRODUCES CHINESE VERSION OF ITS HORIZON(SM) OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGEMENT SOLUTION

- Web-based Self-Assessment Tool in Native Language

SIBOS-SINGAPORE - 20 October, 2003 - JPMorgan Treasury Services (TS)a unit of JPMorgan Chase and a leader in global payment, liquidity and treasury management, today announced Chinese language capability enhancements to JPMorgan Horizon(SM), its web-based, enterprise-wide operational risk management product. JPMorgan Horizon helps managers of banks and central banks to document the controls established to mitigate risk, evaluate the effectiveness of business units' compliance with defined controls, identify areas of risk which lack control procedures, and establish and monitor control action plans. By understanding the organization's risk profile, management can make more informed strategic and expenditure decisions.

Financial institutions and large corporations in China can now leverage the
tested capabilities that the Horizon system provides, in a Chinese language
version of this innovative solution. By using a proven risk management tool
