Thyron Systems Launches New Generation of Card Transaction Terminals at Cartes 2003

Cartes, Paris, 19 November 2003 - Thyron Systems (stand 4 S 057), the specialist provider of terminals and applications for secure mobile transactions, today announced the launch of two new products at Cartes 2003 in Paris.

Throughout the three-day event, Thyron will be showcasing its new products designed to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of the global card processing market. This reconfirms Thyron's ongoing focus and commitment to manufacturing innovative mobile/portable devices that enable organisations to take the point of transaction to the client and not rely on the client to come to the point of transaction.

Thyron's flagship product for 2004 is the PayCell(r) MPT500; a hand held portable transaction terminal that supports multiple card interfaces and delivers transactions across the widest range of wireless communications networks possible. These include GSM/GPRS/Wireless LAN and even Blue tooth. It has an exceptional battery life and has been designed to support the demand for increased levels of transaction security without compromising speed.

Another new product being showcased at the event is the POSMate 100; an innovative and fully Secure PIN Entry Device (PED) designed for CHIP and PIN verification at a retailer based integrated Point of Sale. It meets Visa 'global' Pin Entry Device, offline security specifications and is EMV 2000 level 1 and 2 compliant.
