pancredit achieves information security standard BS7799 (ISO 17799)

pancredit systems limited, a leading provider of lending system solutions, has achieved international information security standard BS7799 (ISO 17799).

This verifies that pancredit can not only ensure the confidentiality of its internal data and hosted lending system solutions, but also ensure that accessibility to information and systems is restricted to authorised users. In addition, as part of the accreditation, pancredit also safeguards the integrity of its internal and hosted data through rigorous IT security controls and processing methods. This ensures that pancredit protects its customers’ loan programmes from a wide range of threats.

Commonly adopted as a pre-tendering requirement, the accreditation covers:
- Physical and personnel security
- Effective risk management
- System development and maintenance
- Business continuity
- Compliance with relevant acts, for example the Data Protection Act.

Achievement of the accreditation complements pancredit's seven year registration against the international quality standard ISO 9001 (TickIT.) As a result, pancredit has documented software development processes from sales through to support that are followed, independently checked and continuously improved based on feedback from its customers and employees.

Stefan Lytwyn, Quality Manager, pancredit, comments, "This latest accreditation provides pancredit with a strong competitive advantage to offer new and existing customers. There are only a handful of SME’s that have been registered against both the international security and quality standards."
