Fiscal Open Access delivers improved workflow, usability and system openness

London, 29 May 2003- Misys Asset Management Systems, a global solution provider for the asset management community, today announced a new and significant Fiscal component - Fiscal Open Access - the proven, complete and fully integrated settlement system for stockbroking operational processes. This evolution of Fiscal delivers improved business workflow, flexibility, usability and system openness.

Kirit Teli, Fiscal product manager, Misys Asset Management Systems, says:
"For the past 20 years, through a steady evolution of functionality
enhancements, Fiscal has been working behind the scenes in stockbrokers around the UK. The release of Fiscal Open Access is a 'step change' development for our customers, adding the latest in IBM database tools to a proven platform."

Improving operational efficiency and effectiveness, Fiscal Open Access gives
easy, generic and direct access into the Fiscal database and its real-time
functional processing via an object interface. Based on an IBM multi-relational database, it provides a scaleable object-orientated infrastructure to enable stockbroking organisations to easily build applications under their control to suit operational needs. This allows for greater flexibility and reduces development costs.

Teli continues: "We now provide users with immediate and direct access to the business logic. This will have a great impact on the settlement process by providing an efficient data service to key business units or in-house development teams."

To provide easy inter-operability and increase usability and intuitiveness,
a browser-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) is designed to work in both
intranet and internet environments. This enables better delivery and
presentation of information that complements the business workflows and closer match the users' style of working.

Teli concludes: "Our clients will be able to seamlessly integrate Fiscal Open Access with their current Fiscal implementation. By presenting Fiscal Open Access as a collection of multi-tasking objects, a workflow approach can be adopted rather than the traditional menu driven single workflow approach. The end result is that it can perform critical operational processes more effectively and faster but with less cost."

Chris Potts, CEO, Misys Asset Management Systems, says: "After substantial
investment and a thorough consultation period with our customers, we're now in a position to deliver Fiscal Open Access, and ensure it remains the most reliable, dependable and robust operational infrastructure for the stockbroking business."

Fiscal is well established in the UK with several clients including, Morgan
Stanley Quilter and Brewing Dolphin Securities.
