leader in the emerging market for Financial Enterprise Software (FES), has
announced the appointment of Ted Yarnell as SVP, global sales and marketing.
This is a new position, created in response to the burgeoning interest in
FES among financial services institutions worldwide.
Ted is based in FTI's New York headquarters and reports directly to President and CEO Michael Meriton. As the head of FTI's global sales and marketing team, he will be responsible for increasing market recognition and driving international expansion.
Ted's 28-year career in the software industry spans all aspects of enterprise software sales, marketing, field operations and general management. Most recently, he was vice president of Global Sales for mFormation Technology, a company specializing in creating infrastructures for the management of wireless computing.
Prior to this, Ted occupied senior management positions at a range of high-profile technology firms, most notably Sybase. In the role of area president for Sybase's East Coast sales force, Ted led a team of 200 professionals to achieve annual revenue of $150 million, helping to establish Sybase as the market leader in brokerage and banking worldwide.
Ted has extensive experience in the areas of marketing data management and
processing products. He began his career at Syncsort, selling its solution
for sorting and processing sequential data. As the company's first salesperson, he was instrumental in shaping the positive image that the brand still enjoys today. In his next role as vice president of strategic accounts at Applied Data Research (ADR), Ted led a strong team of professionals in selling and supporting ADR's database management systems and program development tools to corporate and government clients across the US.
Michael Meriton, President and CEO, says: "With Ted's outstanding knowledge
of the technology marketplace, as well as his proven talent for sales and
marketing, we will be able to enhance our global presence and consolidate
our position as the leading provider of FES solutions. "
