Consolidation cuts costs for De La Rue ~ financial transaction expert outsources entire e-business initiative ~

De La Rue, the secure transactions provider, has made considerable cost savings by consolidating its entire Internet operations to a single provider.

Attenda, the Infrastructure and Security Management provider, will manage all of De La Rue’s e-business applications as the preferred supplier. The online services supported by Attenda tracking and tracing of travellers cheques, the online delivery of maintenance manuals to staff and applications relating to the ordering of parts and consumables for customers. Previously, each function was managed individually by local ISPs.

"We have always outsourced the management of our Internet applications. However, to date we have tended to use local ISPs for each of the different functions," said Duncan Stradling, Head of e-Business Development at De La Rue. "Attenda has proven its technical expertise and we appreciate the significant cost savings we can make by partnering with Attenda for all of our e-business initiatives. It offers a good value for money proposition and has the security credentials necessary to instil confidence both in our organisation and that of our high profile customers," he added.

"De La Rue is trusted partner of both national governments and major financial institutions worldwide, so the ability to deliver timely, secure information is crucial," said Neal Gandhi, Vice-President of Product Management and Marketing at Attenda.
