Business Architects and Broker Focus to integrate their products

LONDON 20 December 2002 - Broker Focus and Business Architects announce agreement to integrate their product solutions. The agreement means clients can purchase software products from both parties with the added security that a standard and fully supported interface already offers. This will reduce the cost of implementation and significantly increase the speed of deploying an operational front to back office system.

Broker Focus is a back office multi-currency portfolio management, settlement, accounting and custody administration system that caters for real-time high volume trading and transaction processing designed to significantly reduce manual back office administration and increase front office efficiency. Broker Focus is used by stockbrokers, institutional brokers, fund managers, pension management organisations and investment banks, and is fully regulatory compliant. The Broker Focus system currently manages billions in multi currency funds and both cash and stock are reconciled automatically every day. The system is currently capable of moving to T+1 and has full distributed and online capabilities. Broker Focus received the London Stock Exchange ‘Product Excellence’ award 2002. The software runs on 300+ platforms including 64 bit architectures, UX, Linux, all Microsoft OS versions and is .NET, FIX, XML, SOAP enabled for full interoperability.

Business Architects’ eXimius, a browser based and easy to use front office portfolio management solution, combines Customer Relationship Management with in-depth Portfolio and Compliance analysis, Performance and Risk measurement, Client/Management Reporting and Order Management facilities. It provides a single integrated decision support platform for relationship managers, portfolio, compliance and fund managers to control client investments more effectively and efficiently.

"Clearly, our two products are complimentary and benefits our clients in having a standard fully supported integrated front to back system without the need to worry about a huge integration task", says Shawn McGuirk, CEO of Broker Focus.
Both companies’ products are based on Microsoft technology. According to David Wilson, UK director for Business Architects, "This greatly simplifies connecting our software products and also clears the way to move forward with our .NET strategy".
