MB RISK MANAGEMENT FORMALLY ENDORSES PRMIA CERTIFIED RISK MANAGER PROGRAM FOR ITS CLIENTS AND STAFF

January 13, 2002 - The Professional Risk Managers International Association (PRMIA) is pleased to announce that MB Risk Management, a provider of risk management solutions to over 30,000 clients worldwide, has exclusively endorsed the PRMIA Certified Risk Manager exam and will recommend it to its clients and staff.

MB Risk Management is furthering its support of PRMIAs Mission to promote standards and education through the free exchange of ideas about risk management.

"MB Risk Management has a truly global reach and recognizes the importance of standards that cross geographic and cultural boundaries," said David R. Koenig, Chair of PRMIAs Board of Directors. "PRMIA believes that standards of practice, conduct and ethics are inseparable and MB Risk Management's endorsement of our efforts to educate and to certify practitioners on those standards is greatly appreciated."

"MBRM are very happy to exclusively endorse the PRMIA Certified Risk Manager exam," said Dr. Mamdouh Barakat, President and Chief Executive Officer of MB Risk Management. "Our clients are spread throughout the world, in major financial centers and more far-flung regions. We are very appreciative of PRMIA's educational outreach across all geographic areas."

The PRMIA Certified Risk Manager exam is offered during testing windows each month in over 350 cities worldwide. It tests for both the knowledge and understanding of the building blocks essential to the successful practice of risk management. The exam tests theoretical and practical aspects of risk management best practices as well as case studies of failed practices. Further, it requires candidates to know, understand and commit to the professional standards that are at the heart of PRMIA's Bylaws and Standards of Best Practice, Conduct and Ethics (Code of Conduct).

The PRMIA Certified Risk Manager exam is the only risk management certification program that has been endorsed by Algorithmics, SunGard Trading and Risk Systems, the Risk Desk and MB Risk Management. It is also supported through the sponsorship of Ernst and Young. Eighty percent of net exam revenues go to support local activities at PRMIA chapters around the world. The balance of revenues is committed to support PRMIAs web-based and ground level efforts to fulfill its Mission.
