JERSEY CITY, N.J--Feb. 18, 2003--Fundtech Ltd. (NASDAQ: FNDT)announced today the integration of its cash management service with BankAtlantic's image provider, creating a portal through which business customers can view images of checks.
The new functionality enables businesses to retrieve the images themselves in a timelier manner. As a result, the bank's customers will be able to expedite cash management decisions, which will result in greater efficiencies, reduce check fraud and better service to their customers.
"We are continuously striving to increase the functionality of our cash management services," said Anthony A. Gautney, Senior Vice President and Manger of BankAtlantic's Cash Management Department. "By creating an online resource for viewing checks, our customers can retrieve the images early the next morning rather than having to wait for a fax, or statement in the mail. This will enable them to significantly increase processing efficiencies."
In addition to the check-imaging portal, Fundtech provides BankAtlantic with a suite of bank-branded cash management services, including CashLink Electronic Banking, through its Fundtech Connect ASP environment. BankAtlantic also uses Fundtech's PAYplus browser-based payment system for processing funds transfers. According to Michael Sgroe, Chief Operating Officer, Fundtech, "Offering increased functionality and greater efficiencies is critical in today's competitive banking marketplace. We are pleased to be able to expand our relationship with BankAtlantic to help them better serve their growing customer base."
