Serco is an international provider of management services to government and industry. The company covers a wide range of activities, from controlling satellites and operating computer networks for the European Space Agency, to managing and operating the Docklands Light Railway where Serco was recently voted National Rail Operator of the Year. The Company employs 34,000 staff in 36 countries.
The agreement that Serco Justice has just signed with Trustcorps allows Serco MSSG to resell the TRUSHIELD(tm) product line to its Public Sector customers and prospects. TRUSHIELD(tm) will provide Serco's clients with exceptional host protection against both known and unknown hack attacks.
TRUSHIELD(tm) operates by detecting and shutting down entire classes of hack attack caused by exploiting buffer overflow, integer overflow and other types of common security vulnerability. The solution also has a unique compromise detection capability which means it can detect the hidden presence of hacker backdoors and other stealthy malware. TRUSHIELD(tm) does not rely on signature databases or complex policy rules and therefore does not generate false alarms and requires minimal configuration, making it very easy to deploy and inexpensive to manage.
Brian Pennington, Business Unit Director at Serco Justice, comments: "We have chosen to resell Trustcorps technology because their product fits perfectly with the company's security solutions portfolio; IT security has traditionally been very reactive but the future lies with proactive solutions such as TRUSHIELD(tm)."
Nick Ray, CEO and Co-founder of Trustcorps comments: "We are delighted to be working with Serco, a company with an excellent reputation, and we look forward to bringing Serco's public sector clients the benefits of our simple yet highly effective preventative approach to IT security."
Serco Justice and Trustcorps will be hosting two seminars together at the end of May; for more details please contact Julie Bower at Rivercalm.
