Sector, Inc. to Present Workshop at the SIA Operations Conference and Exhibit

Connectivity to SIAC’s SFTI and Email Compliance Solutions To Be Discussed

New York, N.Y., April 15, 2003 – Sector, Inc.®, a leading managed services, communications, and data distribution provider for the financial services industry (and the subsidiary of the Securities Industry Automation Corporation (SIAC)), today announced that it will be presenting a workshop at the SIA Operations Conference and Exhibit on May 8, 2003. The Sector workshop will highlight two topics that are critical to the financial services industry: 1) Connectivity to SIAC’s Secure Financial Transaction InfrastructureSM (SFTISM), and 2) Solutions for compliance to SEC Rule 17a-4 as it relates to the storage and management of Email.

The first segment of the workshop will focus on connectivity options to SIAC’s SFTI- a high capacity infrastructure that improves the resilience of the financial industry’s data communications connectivity. Included in the presentation will be information on cost-effective turnkey solutions to manage business process connections to SFTI, as well as the benefits of SectorNet extranet connectivity to SFTI and the financial services industry.
The second segment of the workshop will cover Sector’s Email compliance solution that was developed in response to recent enforcement actions by the SEC pursuant to its Rule 17a-4. Topics discussed will include the requirements of Rule17a-4 regarding the storage and management of a firm’s email, as well as the options available for firms’ to demonstrate compliance.
