Mosaic Software Partners with NCR to Provide ATM Self Service Solutions

London, 23 September 2002 – Mosaic Software, the global transaction processing software provider, today announced their partnership with NCR Corporation to provide software for advanced ATM and self-service solutions. Mosaic Software is one of the first companies to offer a Web-enabled ATM transaction processing application ready for integration with NCR's APTRA™ Edge self-service software.

APTRAâ„¢ is NCR's groundbreaking software architecture for self-service, developed on Windows NT. It allows users to deploy new products and services on self-service terminals to enhance the consumer experience without modifying underlying business applications. APTRA gives users the ability to run a single application on a mixed vendor hardware base, and the freedom to apply favourite tools and graphics to ATM programming. The APTRA Edge development environment allows ATM owners to design and deliver new ATM functions with speed, to develop targeted campaign marketing and to Web-enable financial services.

Mosaic Software's eSocket.ATM integrates seamlessly with the APTRA Edge software on the ATM, thus allowing advanced services to be implemented for a full Web-enabled ATM solution. eSocket.ATM communicates transaction information to a central Postilion system using a rich transaction protocol with significantly more functionality than legacy protocols. This allows support for technologies like EMV, 3DES, bunch note acceptance, cheque deposit and advanced services like mobile prepaid top-up, ticket purchase, cheque printing, cheque cashing, wire transfer, as well as the traditional transactions like cash withdrawal and balance enquiry.

Jim Piggot, General Manager and Vice President of Software and Services at NCR says, "We are delighted to have Mosaic Software as part of our APTRAxpress Partner Programme and as the first vendor to provide a full banking solution for APTRA Edge. The new services that can be offered as a result of this partnership will be of great value to our customers, enabling them to maximise
their self-service capabilities."

Andrew Marshman, Strategic Alliance Manager at Mosaic Software said, "This ongoing relationship with NCR demonstrates Mosaic Software's ability to develop
solutions that are state of the art, in response to a market need. This is already in use in the 7-Eleven project in North America where many advanced transaction services have been rolled-out. In Europe and the Middle
East, we are sure that this technology is also of particular interest as we can provide solutions for EMV and 3DES at the same time."
