Misys Securities Trading Systems (Misys) announce the launch of their new solution, Inventory Manager.

After months of development, the stock record system, branded Inventory manager, has now gone live and is available as a stand-alone solution for Securities Industry organisations. Alternatively, it can be integrated with any back office trading product.

Misys Inventory Manager is a real-time, event driven, centralised repository, containing detailed breakdowns of stock and cash positions together with the underlying events and movements that formed these positions. It provides the foundation for a Straight Through Processing infrastructure giving the user enhanced operational control and greater efficiencies in customer service.

Gareth Bevan, Directory of Strategy at Misys observed that, "Market participants are increasingly looking to areas which have traditionally been purely back office cost centres as sources of value. Inventory management is one such area. Misys Securities Trading Systems' Inventory Manager will help organisations optimise their return on inventory by providing them with an enterprise wide, cross product view of physical and projected inventory. Benefits include optimised revenue, reduced capital charges and collateral requirements and improved fail claims follow up."

Misys have harnessed the power of the Oracle toolset and open database concepts to support Inventory Manager to provide seamless integration within an STP architecture. This is coupled with comprehensive options for accessing and delivering data and industrial strength processing.

Gareth Bevan added, "This development illustrates that Misys Securities Trading Systems continue to lead the industry, and by using our in-depth experience and expertise to anticipate and meet our client's requirements."

Initially marketed in Europe, market settlement Inventory Manager will be distributed worldwide.
