The successful addition of the totally secure Web-browser interface to the
original Windows®-based application was developed in response to customer
demands for a more modern, user-friendly and intuitive interface. Designed
as a replacement for the GUI front-end, the new technology runs alongside
the existing interface, offering the user greater operational efficiency and
a choice as to how to access the ePAL Service.
In addition, Williams de Broe has licensed the Portfolio Internet Managed
Service (PIMS). This new secure service will allow Williams de Broe to publish clients' data direct to the Web for viewing by the end customer from any location. The service is operated under the protection of passwords and unique user codes to prevent others from accessing the data. These solutions run independently, and together can provide Williams de Broe clients with a high level of quality reporting via the Web to complement the level of service and investment returns that they already enjoy.
Richard Charnock, director private client division at Williams de Broe, comments, "We believe that regular reporting of client valuation summaries by direct Web access is a vital component of a credible, contemporary, performance-orientated wealth management service. ePal and PIMS have been enthusiastically received by our clients."
John Munro, president of SunGard's ePAL operating unit, adds, "The new Web-browser version of ePAL has received an enthusiastic response from the market. The use of Web-based technology is fundamental in the development of the latest strategic investment management solutions. We are delighted to be working with Williams de Broe to produce the products and services that ensure the quality of reporting that their clients demand."
