As part of the 300th Anniversary of St Petersburg, a major new exhibition will be taking place at the Barbican, London between the 11th and 14th November. The event, "Russia Open to the World" will give UK companies a unique opportunity to develop business relationships with some of Russia's most important and influential players from the worlds of industry, media and politics. Alongside the exhibition will be a series of seminars all designed to give UK companies the chance to keep up to date with investment opportunities in Russia. These will take place at the Meridian Piccadilly Hotel and the Barbican Centre.
Exhibitors at the exhibition include Alrosa - one of the world's leading producers of diamonds, the Yukos oil company, the Russian shipbuilding agency, Megafon - the first all Russia mobile telecom operator and exhibits by the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology and Ministry of Education. In addition, a series of cultural exhibits and events is planned including performances by the Kirov Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre and exhibits from key Russian Museums.
Part of the exhibition will be dedicated to Russia's most beautiful city, St Petersburg, the countries cultural capital. The year 2003 is the 300th anniversary of St Petersburg and the cities history and economic importance will be celebrated during the 4 days of the show.

The official opening of the exhibition will take place at 16:00 on the 11th November with a Press Conference at 17:00 in the Barbican Garden Room. Members of the press will have the opportunity to tour the show and pose questions to the panel which will include representatives of the Russian Ministries, event organisers and exhibitors.
