"Recon 5.5 enables asset management firms to obtain greater efficiency on several reconciliation fronts," said Stamos D. Katotakis, President and Chief Executive Officer, Financial Models Company Inc. "Recon is already a global leader in matching and reformatting functions. Recon 5.5 adds state-of-the-art productivity tools for the user and exciting advances in the speed of data transfer."
Recon 5.5 offers significant advances in workflow and ease of use. The new graphical user interface (GUI) provides single-point access to everyday functions, such as reading SWIFT files, investigating unmatched items and printing reports. A shortcut bar provides quick access to common functions.
New alerts functionality includes screen alerts at log-in, with shortcuts to locate data discrepancies. In addition, Recon 5.5 is e-mail enabled, providing managers and users the ability to review discrepancy reports, assign work and report on status of specific issues. With many users now choosing to batch load overnight, reports can be waiting in e-mail boxes at the beginning of the day.
Through a new data load and translation facility, Recon 5.5 now transfers large amounts of data at phenomenal speed. Users with tight processing windows can run reconciliation jobs more quickly and conserve system resources for other purposes.
The Recon 5.5 batch facility has also been streamlined to enable users to run batch jobs against multiple business units, without the need to reconfigure settings.
